A new warehouse and manufacturing facility is coming to Shawnee and is expected to be operational by 2026.
The project, dubbed “Project Zenith,” will be an 83,640-square-foot manufacturing warehouse located at 5327 Martindale Street in western Shawnee, north of Johnson Drive and east of Woodland Drive. The Shawnee Planning Commission approved the project’s comprehensive plan on Monday.
Leading the project is Mission, KS-based Stag Commercial. Schlagel & Associates will operate as civil engineers and Adams Architect, LLC will be the designers.
Project Zenith will operate as a headquarters office, operating 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as house 200 company employees. However, the tenant for the new building was not disclosed.
Additionally, the 83,640-square-foot site will be comprised of 7,665 square feet of office and 68,640 square feet of a mix of storage. The remaining 68,640-square-foot building is rectangular and 32 feet high. Stag Commercial wants to begin construction in the last quarter of 2024 and anticipates completion by the second quarter of 2026.
Following approval from the planning commission, the project will move forward for consideration from the City Council on Monday, Dec. 9.
