SBA Adds 20 New Women’s Business Centers

The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced grant funding and the launch of 20 new Women’s Business Centers across America to serve rural, urban and underserved communities.

The opening of the business centers is the largest single expansion of its kind across America in the program’s 30-year history, and the centers will be pivotal to the success of women-owned businesses as they continue to recover from the economic wreckage of the COVID-19 pandemic, agency officials say.  The WBCs will be hosted in rural and underserved markets and widen the footprint and partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
