Lee’s Summit-based Sallee Development is closer to constructing a new residential build-for-rent community in Oak Grove, made up of 40 townhomes.
Rustic Heights is a development comprised of 40 townhomes with 176 units, a pool and a playground in addition to walking trails. The development recently underwent a groundbreaking ceremony.
The site is found on 18 acres down Fourth Street, according to a release.
Bates City-based KAT Excavation Inc. previously owned Rustic Heights, however, it was sold to Sallee. Sallee is now responsible for overseeing vertical construction and project completion, which is anticipated later this year, according to the release.
“Rustic Heights exemplifies our ongoing commitment to improving housing options throughout Kansas City,” president and CEO of Sallee Development, Tyler Sallee said. “We are thrilled to establish a relationship with the Oak Grove community and look forward to introducing more multi-family housing options to the area.”
The development will offer two- and three-bedroom rental options with attached garages designed for every lifestyle. The townhomes are also maintenance-provided.
This project was funded through Country Club Bank.
Construction is expected to start in June and the first units ready this fall.
