Rockhurst University and Kansas City University leaders have signed a new agreement to create more pathways for students seeking healthcare degrees.
For the fall 2025 semester, the Rockhurst University-Kansas City University Early Acceptance, ROKC-EAP, Program will offer high school students an opportunity to enter three medical programs at KCU upon acceptance to Rockhurst.
The program would see students complete their undergraduate studies at Rockhurst before entering one of three career paths at KCU such as the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or the Master of Health Science – Anesthesiologist Assistant (MHS-AA) programs.
Additionally, 25 students will be selected for the DO program, 10 for the DMD program and 5 for the MHS-AA program.
“This program is going to expand opportunities for students who come from widely diverse backgrounds through this early admissions program, helping to create a more inclusive health care workforce for Missouri, for Kansas, and, really, for the broader region and the nation,” Dr. Marc B. Hahn, president and CEO of KCU, said in a release.
“There’s a commitment to the future of health care here,” he said.
