Newsweek magazine has released its 2023 list of what it considers the Top 250 hospitals in the world, with medical centers in Missouri and Kansas earning spots.
Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis placed No. 169 on this year’s list, 18 spots ahead of The University of Kansas Hospital at No. 187. They join an impressive list of U.S. hospitals—45 in all—that dominated the list, well ahead of Germany, with 25 honorees.
Topping the list were four American hospitals: the Mayor Clinic at No. 1, followed by the Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital. UCLA Health’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center rounded out the Top 10.
