Red Bridge Shopping Center to Open Grocery Store in Late Spring, Early Summer 2024

The Red Bridge Shopping Center is set to open its new Red Bridge Farm Fresh Market in late spring to early summer 2024.

The new grocery store will occupy the former 35,000-square-foot Sun Fresh and will receive “significant” façade and interior renovations. The Red Bridge Sun Fresh closed its doors in January 2023.

Demolition is currently underway while construction is expected to proceed later this month. The store will feature a new roof, new refrigeration systems, flooring and increased ceiling heights and include a patio for shoppers to mirror the aesthetics of the shopping center.

“Grocery stores are often the heartbeat of a community, and since purchasing the center in 2015, we’ve prioritized having a quality grocer at the center,” Brandon Buckley, LANE4 partner, said in a news release. “We feel we found the perfect fit for Red Bridge and one that will serve the community for years to come.”

The Red Bridge Farm Fresh Market will be the sixth Kansas City location and is anticipated to create more than 80 new jobs at an average wage of $15/hour, according to the release.

Lane4 Property Group is the developer of the project.
