VanTrust Real Estate announced that, following a lease agreement with QTS Realty Trust, it has fully leased one of its buildings at New Century Commerce Center.

QTS will occupy 756,571 square feet of the New Century Commerce Center B1 Building, located at 16175 John Glenn Parkway in New Century, Kansas. B1 is now fully leased, according to a release.

Headquartered in Overland Park, QTS is a data center solutions company that operates 35 locations in the U.S. and three in Europe.

“This progress highlights the strong demand for industrial space at New Century Commerce Center,” vice president of development at VanTrust, Justin Duff, said in the release. “With the addition of QTS and continued strong lease activity, NCCC remains a prime location for businesses seeking new space in the South Johnson County market.”

Since 2022, VanTrust has developed 1,776,153 square feet of space at the center. VanTrust recently broke ground on Building G2, a 356,276-square-foot fourth building joining the New Century Commerce Center portfolio. VanTrust expects the new building to complete construction by the third quarter of 2025.

“We are thrilled with the progress at New Century Commerce Center made possible by the successful public-private partnership between Johnson County Government, the Johnson County Airport Commission and VanTrust,” Johnson County Board of County Commissioners Chairman, Mike Kelly, said in the release. “This is another chapter in the ongoing story of this vibrant business and industrial center that has helped transform the New Century AirCenter into an economic hub, contributing $1.1 billion to the local economy and creating nearly 5,000 jobs.”
