Overland Park-based Prime Capital Financial announced it has made two executive-level leadership promotions.

The firm announced the appointments of Scott Duba as president and Will McGough as chief investment officer, according to a Thursday release.

As president, Duba will oversee enterprise‑wide responsibilities, partnering closely with advisors and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence and continued growth. Duba first joined Prime Capital Financial in 2021. Before his promotion to president, Duba served most recently as CIO and president of wealth management. In that time, Prime Capital’s assets under management experienced growth from approximately $20 billion to more than $40 billion.

“His [Duba] investment experience, ability to scale complex platforms, and ability to build trusted relationships with our advisors and clients make him uniquely qualified to help lead Prime Capital Financial into its next phase of growth,” Prime Capital Financial CEO Glenn Spencer said in the release.

McGough now fills the role of CIO for the firm following Duba’s promotion. As CIO, he will lead a team of 12 and oversee Prime Capital’s investment strategy, portfolio management, trading and research functions. McGough joined Prime Capital Financial in 2023 as director of investments and was promoted to deputy CIO in 2025.
