Prime Capital Financial Adds Partner to San Antonio Branch

Overland Park-based Prime Capital Financial has added John Cervantes as a new partner to its San Antonio, Texas-based arm Crossvault Capital Management.

Cervantes joins Prime Capital Financial with nearly 20 years of experience in financial planning and investment management. He will be a new partner and senior investment advisor for Crossvault.

Crossvault manages over $550 million in assets and is led by three partners: Laura Ehrenberg-Chesler, Marilou Moursund, and Sarah Calvert Doerr. Crossvault joined Prime Capital Financial in June of 2022.

Most recently, Cervantes served as executive director and investment advisor at Texas Capital Bank for over two and a half years. Before that, he was a senior investment manager at Merrill Lynch for nearly a decade. He also has experience as a Financial Advisor at USAA and a personal banker at JPMorgan Chase, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Cervantes earned his bachelor of business administration in finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio and holds a chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation.
