A new report by WalletHub, compiled through its Happiest States in America survey, found that Overland Park is the 15th happiest city in the country, based on “30 key indicators of happiness, ranging from depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day,” says a press release.
With an index score of 68.23, it came in between San Francisco and Santa Clara, Calif. Our neighbor Lincoln, Neb., was ranked slightly higher, at 13th. Overland Park’s highest indicator was for “Community and Environment,” which it took eighth place in overall.
Meanwhile, Kansas City was ranked 153rd, with an index score of 49.26.
