Oracle Corp. has appointed Seema Verma, the former head of Medicare in the Trump administration, as the executive vice president of Oracle Health.
Oracle announced Verma’s new role via an internal memo in December, Bloomberg reported. As part of her new role, she will oversee Oracle Health, formerly Cerner Inc.. Oracle purchased Center for about $29 billion in 2022.
Before being appointed to her new role, Verma was the senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Health. Verma will continue as general manager in addition to her new title as EVP, according to Verma’s LinkedIn page.
Since purchasing Center, the Oracle Health unit has experienced layoffs and new management strategies as both companies continue to integrate.
