OMB Bank announced Weston Kendall will join as the vice president and director of its banking-as-a-service compliance.

With more than a decade of financial fraud prevention experience, Kendall began his career in 2013 as a senior anti-money laundering analyst at Dickinson Financial Corporation. He went on to join Country Club Bank in Kansas City as a BSA officer for nearly a year. Most recently, Kendall served as a Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering officer at Dama Financial for more than five years.

He earned his Business Intelligence Analysis certification from Villanova University.

“Weston’s expertise, combined with his commitment to integrity and innovation, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide secure and compliant embedded finance solutions. We look forward to the leadership and insights he brings to our team,” chief risk officer at OMB Bank, Michelle Sullivan, said in a release Tuesday.

OMB originally launched its dedicated BaaS department in March 2024. The department enables fintechs to market bank products under their own brand names with the help of the partner bank’s financial services and FDIC membership, according to a release at the time.

Earlier this month, OMB Bank announced two new members to its leadership team with the addition of Sullivan as senior vice president and chief risk officer and Duane Farmer as senior vice president and director of consumer lending.

Based in Springfield, OMB Bank operates nine branch locations across Southwest Missouri and the greater Kansas City metro area. As of the fiscal quarter ending Dec. 31, OMB Bank has $1.77 billion in total assets.
