An Atlanta-based glass manufacturer announced it had acquired Insulite Glass, headquartered in Olathe, and its facility in Pacific, MO.

The transaction between Trulite and Insulite became effective on January 31, according to a release. The acquisition reflects Trulite’s market position as a leading player in the North American glass and aluminum fabrication market.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the release.

“Joining forces with Trulite presents tremendous opportunities for Insulite and our valued team members,” Insulite owner, Beau Guyette, said in the release. “We believe this acquisition will allow us to leverage our combined expertise and resources to better serve our customers and drive continued success in the market. I am confident the team in place at Insulite will continue to exceed expectations while serving an expanded territory through Trulite.”

Insulite had been an independent company for nearly 35 years.

Established in 1990, Insulite is a glass fabrication company that offers insulated, tempered, and heat-treated glass products. The company has outfitted numerous building projects in the Kansas City area, including the Cerner Campus, the Olathe Medical Center, and the Prairiefire Museum.

The transaction includes the acquisition of Insulite, which is headquartered in Olathe, Kansas, and its Pacific, Missouri, location. Between its two state-of-the-art fabrication facilities, the company employs around 150 workers, according to the Insulite website.

“I want to personally congratulate Beau Guyette and the entire team at Insulite for building a phenomenal business,” President and CEO of Trulite, Kevin Yates, said in the release. “We are excited to leverage the strengths of both Trulite and Insulite to enhance our offerings and provide even greater value to our customers.”

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Truelink Capital, Trulite’s parent company, backs the deal. Truelink Capital acquired Trulite in November 2022.
