Neiman Marcus Joins Other Big Bankruptcies

Upscale department-store chain Neiman Marcus has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, joining a list of companies that have filed for bankruptcy recently, due in part to COVID-19 pain.

Neiman’s closest store to the Kansas City area is in St. Louis, though the Dallas-based company is one of the best-know department-store chains in the world.

It joins apparel retailer J.Crew, which recently did the same. 

The publication Fast Company recently put out a list of companies that have recently filed for bankruptcy, and among them are several prominent names, including Gold’s Gym, Dean & Deluca, and apparel retailer True Religion.
