The NCCA’s scrutiny of the University of Kansas men’s basketball program continues with a 92-page report its enforcement office submitted to the school.
The report says that the program committed “egregious” and “severe” rules violations, according to ESPN, stemming from sneaker company Adidas allegedly trying to recruit players to join the team.
The Jayhawks program is charged with five major rules violations, along with head coach Bill Self. The football program is charged with less severe allegations.
KU officials call the allegations “baseless.”
The men’s basketball team was ranked No. 1 in the nation before COVID-19 shut down March Madness, and the case between the university is ongoing.
