Kansas City-based NBKC Bank announced Pat Schlimmer will assume leadership of the bank’s Home Loans business and take on the role of executive vice president and director of home loans.

First joining NBKC Bank in 2012 as a loan originator, Schlimmer swiftly worked up the ranks and became vice president of loan origination by 2015. He was then promoted to senior vice president of sales in 2017.

“I am honored to lead a great team of people in our Home Loans business,” Schlimmer said in the release. “We’ll continue to focus on a great customer experience and adopting technology that makes the mortgage process easy for our customers.”

Schlimmer succeeds Chad Cronk, who remains with NBKC Bank’s Board of Directors, according to a release shared with Ingram’s.

“This has been a well-planned and smooth handoff, and we’re pleased to have Pat move fully into his new role,” CEO of NBKC Bank, Michael Bartkoski, said in the release. “We also thank Chad for his many contributions to nbkc and look forward to his continued service as a member of our board.”

Before joining NBKC, Schlimmer worked as a sales team lead for CapWest Mortgage for four years and before that, he served as a loan originator at Capital One Home Loans for another four years.

The bank’s national mortgage business originates loans in all 50 states, with a total volume of approximately $3.25 billion in 2024. Founded in 1999, NBKC Bank has $1.143 billion in total assets under management as of February 24. The bank operates with approximately 370 employees.
