MU, KU Bring Players Back to Practice with Testing

Sports players at both the University of Kansas and Missouri are expected to be back at practice under the condition that they undergo COVID-19 testing.

In the case of KU Athletics, all athletes will be tested before returning to practice over the next few months.

MU, which had a different policy previously, is now testing all players for COVID-19 upon their return to campus.

“If there are symptoms, then you test,” Missouri athletic director Jim Sterk  said on television, says the KC Star. “At this point in time, we’re not going to be testing everyone as they come in. We could if things change and the validity of the test improves. But our experts are saying it’s better on the prevention side.

He also said that each test would cost about $65.
