Most Pools Likely Closed Over Summer

It looks like most public pools in the Kansas City area will be closed this summer.

Prairie Village and Roeland Park have both opted to go that route, while Kansas City, Mo., and Overland Park seem to be considering a move in that direction.

The virus is not expected to be able to live in well-chlorinated water, but officials are afraid of the inability to socially distance in these facilities and the time and resources it would take to constantly clean them.
