A third round of Paycheck Protection Program funding might from the Small Business Administration might be needed soon, according to the head of the National Economic Council.
“We waited a little bit too long, I thought, when the last tranche ran out,” Larry Kudlow, the head of the council, told CNN over the weekend. “Let’s not make the same mistake again.”
CNBC reported that Kudlow would not commit to more funding to state and local governments in a third PPP round.
The first round of $349 billion in PPP funding was quickly depleted, which much of the $310 billion in the current round is reportedly already allocated.
