The minimum wage in Missouri is increasing to $12.30 per hour for the next calendar year.
Missouri’s new minimum wage will increase by $0.30 from the previous minimum wage of just $12.00 starting Jan. 1, 2024, according to the Missouri Department of Labor. Employers in retail or service businesses whose annual gross income is less than $500,000 are not required to pay the state minimum wage rate.
Missouri has bumped up its minimum wage every year since 2016. The 2016 minimum wage was $7.65 per hour.
While the Missouri minimum wage will see a gain next year, the Kansas minimum wage will remain the same. The Kansas minimum wage is $7.25, the federal minimum wage, and has not changed since 2008.
