Headquartered in the Kansas City metro, JCI Industries has been acquired by Ohio-based Ohio Transmission Corporation (OTC).
JCI provides engineered solutions powered by industry leading pumps, seals, motors, drives, controls, and process equipment, teamed with complete pump, motor and rotating equipment repair for a wide range of applications and industries.
The metro-based company will soon operate under OTC, an industrial equipment service provider and distributor.
With 150 employees throughout five Midwest states, JCI Industries holds seven sales and field service locations, according to a news release. States include Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Arkansas.
“JCI Industries has grown to become the leading provider of rotating equipment and process solutions for the industrial and municipal markets in the midwestern United States,” David Scheer, CEO of OTC said in the release. “This acquisition of JCI further expands our regional footprint into the Midwest and aligns with OTC’s growth strategy of providing current and future customers in the Midwest with a familiar and trusted solutions provider.”
Scheer said JCI Industries’ current President, Chip Toth, will continue to lead JCI under OTC moving forward.
“For all of JCI Industries’ team members and customers, OTC will bring additional resources that will allow us to continue our growth and increase opportunities for our team members to widen their skills and continue to offer outstanding solutions to our customers,” Toth said in the release. “Our sales and engineering teams are already leaders in our industry, and we look forward to even more growth now that we are part of the OTC family of companies.”
With this acquisition, OTC now has 53 U.S. locations and around 1,400 employees.
