Marc Naughton, last executive member at Cerner Corp. to serve under co-founder and former CEO Neal Patterson, is set to leave next year, according to an announcement from the company this week.
After 28 years at Cerner Corp. and the last 10 serving as CFO, Naughton will leave Cerner on March 31, 2021.
According to a company bio, Naughton played a key role in Cerner’s rapid rise, establishing the company’s internal tax function after joining in 1992 as a finance executive and tax manager, and later assuming leadership of Cerner’s mergers, acquisitions and finance activities.
Before his promotion to CFO in 2010, he also served as the director of finance for two years.
Naughton will receive severance and vesting of outstanding equity awards based on a 2017 agreement, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
