Kansas City-based Lockton has hired Travis Leonard, formerly of Hostess Brands, as the company’s new chief financial officer.
Leonard began his new role effective July 8, according to a release Monday. He succeeds Troy Cook who occupied the role since 2020. Leonard and Cook will work closely to execute a transition of duties and an in-depth onboarding process.
Cook will remain on the Lockton board of directors and will become the executive vice president of corporate development. He will report to chairman and CEO, Ron Lockton.
Most recently, Leonard was the CFO of Hostess Brands, until J.M. Smucker Co. acquired the company for approximately $5.6 billion in November 2023. Before that, he served four years as senior vice president and CFO for the Medical Segment of Cardinal Health in Columbus, Ohio. He also served at Cargill as vice president of finance and at Kraft Foods as the director of finance procurement.
Leonard attended the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign where he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and earned his MBA at Northwestern University.
“We are excited Travis is joining Lockton’s global leadership team,” Lockton said in the release. “He brings a wealth of financial experience, a global perspective and great energy to support the future growth of Lockton.”
