Local, statewide job centers make full reopening in Mo.

Monday marks the first time in months that a vast number of Missouri Job Centers are reopening full-time with no appointment required. New policy applies to locations that meet certain criteria, though virtual services remain.

Beginning Monday, March 15, most Missouri Job Centers are making the transition from appointment-only visits to a full re-opening, with walk-ins welcome.

The new policy only applies to Job Centers that meet three main criteria for re-opening.

Centers must be located in counties where COVID-19 positivity rates are below 8.5 percent, they must have adequate staffing to provide services, and must be able to meet the Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Developmentā€™s internal Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan guidelines.

The Missouri Job Center has been helping job seekers by appointment only since December. Officials say lots of positions available from entry-level to management. All you have to do is stop by.

Safety measures are still in place, such as wearing a mask, temperature checks, and social distancing. Virtual assistance is also available.
