Lawrence-based LMH Health has tapped Rob Chestnut, CMA, MBA, as the hospital’s new chief financial officer. He will join the organization on May 20.
With more than 30 years of experience in executive-level finance, Chestnut most recently served as CFO of Evolution Research Group, a national clinical trials company, according to a release Monday. Chestnut also served in CFO roles at several other companies including ProPharma Group for more than eight years, Studentreasures for over two years and Allen Press, Inc. for over five years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“My goal is to listen and facilitate an environment of transparency and trust within what I know to be a great organization,” Chestnut said. “As a native son of Lawrence, I have great passion for serving the needs of my community with an organization that has done so for over 100 years.”
This new role makes a return to LMH Health for Chestnut, having served on the board of trustees for 12 years and chairing the finance committee for six years, according to the release.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting and a master of business administration from the University of Kansas.
“Rob has a clear commitment to LMH Health, which shows through his passion for the hospital,” LMH Health president and CEO Russ Johnson said. “His years of financial experience with a range of organizations will be invaluable to us going forward.”
