Liberty Hospital and the University of Kansas Health System announced a partnership between the two healthcare providers which will work to improve access to high-quality healthcare in the Northland.
Specifics of the partnership have yet to be determined, according to a release. However, hospital leaders agree the partnership will be mutually beneficial. Liberty Hospital hopes to expand its services for patients’ experience and grant greater access to innovative treatments and specialists. Additionally, the University of Kansas Health System will have the opportunity for a broader presence in the Northland and northwest Missouri.
“From the outset, we focused on finding a partner who will invest in increasing access to high-quality care, offers a great cultural fit, and upholds our commitment to the community and our employees,” Raghu Adiga, Liberty Hospital’s president and chief executive officer, said in a release.
The immediate next step in the process is to finalize the letter of Intent (LOI), which leaders at Liberty Hospital and The University of Kansas Health System are currently working on.
Healthcare leaders will announce the final agreement in the coming months.
