Lenexa City Council to discuss mix-use project Tuesday

Council members are set to vote tonight on several different measures that involve the possible construction of a large, mixed-use project within Lenexa.

On Tuesday, the Lenexa City Council is set to vote on different measures regarding the potential construction of Watercrest South, a large, multiphase mixed-use project that would add to the city’s development.

At tonight’s city council meeting, members could decide on a concept plan and preliminary plat for the major development to include apartments, senior housing and commercial buildings.

If approved, the project would include 11 phases. Overall the finished development would see the Copper Creek apartment and townhome development, a residential portion of Watercrest South and a mixed-use commercial portion of Watercrest South.

Leawood-based P & L Development LLC owns the majority of the site. Lenexa-based QC Development owns a 25-acre portion where apartments are planned to be built.
