Lenexa-based Centrinex, a contact center management company with a head count of 600 employees, has sold to New York-based Covisian Group.

Covisian Group operates 46 contact control centers throughout Europe and South America. While the company has a primary tech hub based in New York, the addition of Centrinex will mark the company’s first call center based in the U.S., according to a Monday release.

“Working under the umbrella of the Covisian Group will allow us to continue to modernize our operations and embrace technologies that elevate the customer experience,” Bart N. Miller, CEO of Centrinex, said in the release. “The application of AI-enabled CX solutions along with our highly skilled agent base gives us a competitive edge in the market.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Centrinex also operates near-shore and off-shore locations in Costa Rica and the Philippines, according to the company’s website. The company offers technology services to businesses such as auto dialer systems and AI, an avenue Covisian Group hopes to grow following the release of its AI-driven software platform, Smile.CX.

“With the acquisition of Centrinex and its talented team, we are expanding our investment in the U.S. market and creating a premier showcase for Smile.CX,” Gabriele Moretti, founder of Covisian Group, said in the release.
