Lenexa-based Westlake Ace Hardware expands north



With around 140 stores in operation across 12 states, locally headquartered Westlake Ace Hardware has acquired four new locations in Nebraska. Although terms were not disclosed, the deal is expected to close later this month before the end of the year.

Westlake Ace Hardware is stocking up in Nebraska, with a deal to buy four additional stores in Lincoln.

Lenexa-based Westlake said it will buy four Q.P. Ace Hardware stores in a deal expected to close later this month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Westlake bought two Q.P. Ace stores in Omaha and Ralston, Nebraska, in 2017, according to a release. The new additions will give it 13 locations in Nebraska. It currently owns and operates 140 stores in 12 states.

The company has continued to grow through 2020. It previously announced purchases of stores in the St. Louis area and in North Bend, Washington and said in October that it would open a new Kansas City store in space Tuesday Morning previously occupied in the Brookside area.
