Lenexa-based Yotabites, a tech firm specializing in big-data management, has been acquired by digital-engineering company PK, which is based in Portland, Ore.
“We’re thrilled to be joining a global company that will grow our ability to drive tangible business results and quantifiable return on investment from data for clients,” said Raj Nair, CEO at Yotabites, in a news release. “By joining forces, we can forge the next level of data insights that our clients need to secure market leadership.”
Founded in late 2015, Yotabites reported revenues last year of just over $1.9 million, up from $1.5 million in 2017. With a tagline “Big Data Ninjas,” the company motto is: “Do one thing and do it right.” Management says that its big data and analytics services are on-budget 100 percent of the time and 25 percent less expensive than competing firms. It had 22 employees at the end of last year.
PK’s management says the acquisition of Yotabites, for which the purchase prices was not disclosed, ups its “intelligence and analytics offerings, giving clients access to the full breadth of big data skillsets, capabilities and specializations.”
