Kansas City, Mo.-based Labconco Corp. has appointed Ryan Gound as its new president following Jeff Stanton’s announcement to retire after nearly 32 years with the company.
Before taking on the role of president, Gound served Labconco as executive vice president. His prior experiences include expertise as a management consultant and growth-focused executive leader in addition to serving almost nine years as a Labconco board member, according to a release.
“I am honored to lead our special organization into a new era of innovation and excellence in providing the highest quality laboratory solutions to our customers,” Gound said in the release. “Together with our talented team, I look forward to driving our mission of protecting scientific integrity and enhancing global scientific exploration through the development and production of industry leading products.”
Gound served more than two years as senior vice president of strategic development for SelectQuote Insurance Services. He was also director of investment analysis and director of accounting at AMC Theatres, director of strategy at The Hackett Group and senior manager of finance advisory at Grant Thornton LLP, according to his LinkedIn page.

Founded in 1925, Labconco is a laboratory equipment manufacturer that produces freeze dryers, forensic enclosures, dry evaporators, water purification systems and others.
