KU Planning Fall Reopening

The University of Kansas could resume operations at its Lawrence campus in the fall, depending on guidelines from state and county health officials, said the school’s top administrators.

So far, only essential staff have returned to work following Kansas’ expiration of its stay-at-home order for certain types of businesses and institutions.

“Our recovery as a university will be informed by science and accomplished in coordination with guidance from local, state and federal agencies,” said Chancellor Douglas Girod and Provost Barbara Bichelmeyer, in a joint statement, as reported by the Lawrence Journal-World.

There is not yet a set timeline for a full plan.
