The University of Kansas Health System executive, Tammy Perterman, has been selected as the 2026 chair of the Kansas Hospital Association Board of Directors.
Peterman was elected to the position during the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) annual meeting in Wichita. As board chair, Peterman will guide the 21-member governing board that oversees the organization’s strategic activities, according to a release.
Peterman first joined the KHA Board of Directors in 2020.
“Tammy brings extensive experience in the hospital and health care industry, and we are confident in her ability to provide strong leadership as the sector navigates evolving challenges,” KHA President and CEO Chad Austin said in the release. “Her expertise and guidance will be invaluable in supporting our member hospitals and organizations across the state.”
Peterman was most recently honored in the 2025 Ingram’s 250: The Most Powerful Business Leaders in Greater Kansas City.
Founded in 1910, the KHA is a non-profit organization operating as a leading advocate and resource for members. KHA membership includes 245 member facilities, of which 124 are full-service, community hospitals.
