The University of Kansas has announced a $5.4 million grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
The grant, awarded to the Kansas Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center, will provides support for the work of 43 scientists focused on intellectual and developmental disabilities
Also supported is a specific research project to examine the effectiveness of an intervention strategy intended to improve spoken word production for minimally verbal school-age children with autism spectrum disorder.
