KS, MO Hospital COVID Aid Hits $800 Million



Kansas and Missouri hospitals are reportedly receiving about more than $800 million in combined funding from the federal government to help combat economic financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the Missouri side, hospitals will be receiving $412.5 million, $296.2 million of it going to to rural hospitals throughout the state, according to Sen. Roy Blunt.

There will also be $82.7 million for hospitals with a large number of COVID-19 patients, and another $33.6 million will go to hospitals with low-income patients, according to a KCTV5 report.

In Kansas, hospitals will receive $400 million, said Sen. Jerry Moran, $382 million going to rural hospitals, while the remainder will go to facilities with a high COVID-19 impact.
