Keystone Automotive Industries will expand its Kansas City operations at a new facility in Hunt Midwest‘s Heartland Logistics Park in Shawnee.
Keystone will lease 530,455-square-feet of Heartland Logistics Park Building III, according to a release. Construction on Building III is set to begin this month with delivery expected in Q1 2025. An additional 323,851-square-feet of the building will remain up for lease. Heartland Logistics Park is located just off Highway K-7 near West 43rd Street.
The building is a concrete tilt-up panel facility that will feature 36-foot clear height, 190-foot-deep truck courts, 36 dock-high doors expandable to 58 docks, four drive-in doors, 87 trailer parking spaces and 251 total car parking spaces.
“Shawnee and Heartland Logistics Park are located perfectly for businesses to make the most of our region’s logistics and labor advantages,” Hunt Midwest senior vice president for commercial real estate Mike Bell said in a release. “Not only can goods and materials immediately reach highway speed, but Shawnee provides diverse housing and strong community assets, including high-quality school districts, that can support every employee from entry-level to executive.”
Keystone aftermarket auto parts supplier and a subsidiary of LKQ, a supplier and manufacturer of aftermarket, recycled, refurbished and remanufactured automotive products.
Mike Mitchelson and Austin Baier of CBRE represented LKQ in the transaction. Leasing at Heartland Logistics Park is being handled by Ed Elder and John Stafford of Colliers.
