KCMO Best Places to Live for Gen Z; High in Jobs, Low Cost of Living

Kansas City, Missouri has been recognized as one of the best cities for Gen Z looking to settle in a city to start a career, according to a study.

The survey, conducted by CommercialCafe, ranked U.S. cities based on a number of weighted categories from green commuting, parks per 10k residents, recreational establishments, internet cost, percentage of Gen Z residents, school enrollment, unemployment rate, jobs for graduates and affordability. 

So where does KCMO rank among other metros across the nation? Eleventh.

However, where KCMO needs to improve in the overall ranking, it makes up for categories that could be more appealing to recent graduates. The metro area ranked second in the best cities for new job opportunities, cost of living and low unemployment rate. 

For reference, KCMO was just under the first-place city of Oklahoma City, OK and above Raleigh, NC.
