The Kansas City, Mo., government has launched a new Internet portal to ask residents about their advice on how to reopen the economy in the face of COVID-19.
Called Lawmaker, the site asks “How Should KC Bounce Back After COVID-19?,” and residents are asked to give their advice from today through June 30.
Mayor Quinton Lucas says he will review the suggestions.
The site’s mission says “The #1 upvoted policy in each category will be considered for policy adoption, assuming it is legally and budgetarily feasible. The Mayor commits to discussing the top 3 policies in each category on a Facebook live event to be held within 30 days after competition closes.”
