March proved to be the busiest month for KCI since December 2019, as reported by the Kansas City Missouri Aviation Department.
According to the department, 944,234 passengers arrived and departed in March. The same month as the opening of the new KCI terminal. The $1.5 billion terminal proved quite the addition and will continue as KCI keeps tracking growth.
The March report also showed a 21.3 percent increase compared to March 2022. This passenger increase continues the airport’s 25 consecutive months of year-over-year growth.
Consistent growth is expected to rise in the coming months as more restrictions on air traffic are lifted. COVID-19 vaccination requirements for federal and foreign travelers will be lifted on May 11.
