KC2026, the organization planning the World Cup 2026 in Kansas City, hires Kyle Postell as the director of safety and security for the event.
Postell brings more than 13 years of experience with the U.S. Secret Service to the role, having led critical infrastructure protection efforts, conducted comprehensive vulnerability assessments and managed large-scale security operations for high-profile events, including the United Nations General Assembly, according to a release.
“His [Postell] expertise in safeguarding critical infrastructure and his proven ability to collaborate with local, state and federal agencies for more than 175 events will be vital to delivering a safe, seamless and best-in-class event,” KC2026 CEO Pam Kramer said in the release.
Postell’s hiring follows several other key positions announced last month. The nonprofit hired Director of Operations Lindsey Douglas, Director of Fan Festival and Events Mallory Cage, Director of Marketing Matt Smith and Social Media and Content Manager Kateri Hartman.
