KC Recognizes William Dunn, Sr. 100th Birthday ‘Bill Dunn Sr. Day’

William Dunn, Sr. (Bill) turns 100 on July 20, JE Dunn Construction Co. will be donating $400,000 to select charities to celebrate.

JE Dunn Construction will honor William Dunn, Sr. (Bill) as he celebrates his 100th Birthday on
July 20, and the City of Kansas City, Missouri declares the day to be “Bill Dunn Sr. Day”.

To celebrate, a blue truck parade will drive through Kansas City to Dunn’s home.

In addition to the festivities, JE Dunn announced it will be donating a total of $100,000 to four different nonprofits; Operation Breakthrough, Journey to New Life, EMBRACE and Donnelly College in honor of Dunn. JE Dunn employees are bringing non-perishable food items to donate to JE Dunn’s nonprofit partner, Seton Center.

William Dunn Sr. is the son of JE Dunn founder John Ernest Dunn and spent 73 years working at JE Dunn before retiring in January 2020.
