Kansas City, Kansas-based Orange EV sold its 1,000th electric vehicle marking its position in the industry as a leading manufacturer with zero emissions.

The 1,000th truck will join the fleet of other Orange EV electric trucks operated by Atlanta-based Lazer Logistics.

Orange EV was founded in 2012. Just three years later in 2015, the company began its development of heavy-duty EV terminal trucks. Orange EV has since provided more than 230 fleets of electric yard trucks that average more than 98 percent uptime with 11.8 million miles driven and 4 million hours of operation, according to a news release.

“One thousand heavy-duty EV trucks is a testament to the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions and the impact we can make by electrifying the terminal truck industry,” president and CTO of Orange EV, Kurt Neutgens said. “We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone achievement with Lazer Logistics, a company that shares our commitment to reduce environmental impacts, provide a safer and healthier environment for operators, and improve our end-customers’ bottom line.”

Lazer Logistics, a provider of outsourced end-to-end yard management solutions, will deploy its recently acquired pure-electric Class 8 truck to Southern California.

With more than 300 employees, Orange EV has trucks used by more than 230 fleets across 35 states, Canada and the Caribbean.
