Kansas City soon to see an increase in jobs from FedEx

FedEx is set to bring in over 1,000 seasonal jobs to Kansas City-area facilities in preparation for the holiday season, opening positions to help with the seasonal rush that have the potential to become full-time jobs.

With the holiday season fast approaching, Memphis-based FedEx Corporation is planning to open around 1,300 seasonal jobs to those living in the Kansas City area.

The metro houses a few different FedEx facilities including locations in Lenexa, Olathe and Shawnee, among others.

These positions, although labeled as seasonal, have the potential to become full-time jobs after the holidays, according to the company.

Open positions currently listed show warehouse package handlers as the primary jobs being offered. Among the positions with the potential of becoming full-time, it is unknown whether they would remain the same.

The multinational company said that applicants must be at least 18 and able to unload and load packages.
