Kansas City-based VeriShip announces merger

By Madison Parry

A recent merger between VeriShip and Utah-based Sifted has combined the shipping expense optimization platform from the former with Sifted’s data science logistics platform. The new model created from the merger is expected to bring a big change to logistics.

Bringing a new model to the table, the recent merger of Kansas City-headquartered VeriShip and Utah-based Sifted is expected to result in new and improved changes in logistics operations.

VeriShip is noted as the largest spend management and payments platform in the U.S., tracking and analyzing shipping data. Sifted works to solve complicated logistics data issues with a data science logistics platform.

A merger of the two companies creates a newer platform, according to a news release, highlighting a transformational cloud-based analytics engine for logistics.

The new platform is expected to significantly reduce transportation expenses for shippers as well as optimize delivery times.

This is the second acquisition for VeriShip within the last year after the company bought Valence, a software and managed service company, in December 2019.

VeriShip has caught the attention of the region for the last several years and has been a five-time winner on Ingram’s Fastest Growing Companies list.

The companies will merge capabilities under the Sifted brand and all clients will transition to the new platform. Under the new platform, clients will have immediate access to complete and thorough analytics of their data.
