Kansas City-Based McRuer Acquired by St. Louis Audit and Accounting Firm

St. Louis audit and accounting firm UHY has acquired Kansas City-based McRuer & Associates.  

McRuer, which has consistently been on Ingram’s top accounting firms list, has served the Kansas City community through its accounting, tax planning and consulting services for more than 30 years.

According to a statement from UHY, “The merger marks an expansion in the Midwest for one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing accounting firms and will enhance and complement UHY’s current service offerings of accounting, tax planning and consulting services.”

The administrative and professional staff of McRuer will keep their current roles as employees of UHY, and Scott McRuer, founder and managing member of McRuer, will now serve as UHY’s Managing Director here in KC.
