“It is such an honor to oversee this region and the incredible teams who work here,” Cox said in the release. “Paul has done an excellent job leading the region over the past six years, so I have big shoes to fill, and I’m excited to take it on—particularly as we celebrate 100 years since JE Dunn’s founding. The region is in great shape with strong leaders across our offices and verticals. We have a bright future ahead of us.”

With more than 22 years of experience in the industry, Cox has worked on large projects in both preconstruction and construction. In the release, the company listed some notable projects Cox has worked on such as the Loews Kansas City and Arlington Convention Center hotels, JE Dunn’s first semiconductor manufacturing work in Oregon, the T-Mobile Headquarters Campus, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Richard Bolling Federal Building, and the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department headquarters.

He received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Purdue University.

Cox succeeds Paul Neidlein, who served as the Midwest region president for six years. Neidlein is now the president of JE Dunn’s new Advanced Facilities Group.

The group began operations at the start of 2024 and brings together three of JE Dunn’s national business units including manufacturing and industrial, mission critical and advanced industries.
