JE Dunn Construction has found its new chief financial officer in one of its board members.
JE Dunn announced Bethany Ropa has been appointed CFO and will begin her latest role effective April 28, according to a Monday release. Ropa currently serves as the head of Americas for real estate, lodging and leisure at UBS Investment Bank.
“I am honored to join JE Dunn and contribute to its next phase of growth,” Ropa said in the release. “I look forward to working with the talented team at JE Dunn to build on the company’s strong foundation and legacy to drive continued growth and financial strength for the organization.”
She first joined UBS in 2008. During her 17-year career at UBS, Ropa completed over $100 billion in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and financing transactions. In her new role, she will focus on strategic growth and lead JE Dunn’s financial strategy.
“Bethany will play a critical role in moving our company’s vision forward, enhancing value for our employee owners, and leading us into a new chapter of growth and innovation,” JE Dunn president and CEO, Gordon Lansford, said in the release.
She has notably served on the JE Dunn Board of Directors for over 4 years. Ropa is succeeding Beth Soukup, who is retiring after 11 years at JE Dunn.
Soukup helped JE Dunn’s Employee Stock Ownership Program get off the ground and oversaw the construction company’s annual revenue growth each year.
“I want to thank Beth Soukup for 11 incredible years. She has been a tremendous leader and trailblazer for JE Dunn,” Lansford said. “Her legacy will be felt in our company for many years to come.”
