Kansas City-based private equity firm CPC Management LLC announced it will be expanding its Excellence Group with the hire of new chief people officer Caitlin Porter.

The Excellence Group is a team providing continuous improvement opportunities for CPC’s operating companies, according to a release.

“CPCM is deeply focused on supporting our operating companies and management teams to succeed in the Five Key Battles. With CPCM’s Excellence Group, we can provide this support with world-class resources, resources our management teams may not otherwise have access to,” CPCM principal and co-founder Wiley Curran said. “We are thrilled Caitlin has joined our team and look forward to seeing her experience in action with our internal CPCM team and our operating companies.”

Prior to joining CPC, Porter was head of human relations at National Veterinary Associates.

She earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from George Mason University and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.

CPC was founded in January 2021 and formed from the merger of Curran Companies’ and C3 Capital’s management teams. CPC aims to buy, build and hold companies for the long term with and emphasis on people and customer intimacy as part of the company’s mission.
