Did you feel a leftist scalpel cutting away more of your heart muscle?  Christians as well as all religious Americans just lost more of our constitutional freedoms and liberties to the extreme left’s political surgeons and agenda. If you missed it, recent headlines stated: “Supreme Court denies Calvary Chapel church in Nevada its Constitutional rights in 5-4 decision. Religious freedom increasingly at risk”.  You should think about this latest outrageous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.  It denied the Calvary Chapel Evangelical Church in Nevada (just east of Reno) from having more than 50 people meeting together for worship and Bible teaching, even with social distancing. This was especially hard to take given that gambling casinos in Nevada and elsewhere are allowed to welcome many more people into their establishments.

In a 5 to 4 decision America’s highest court refused to grant the request from this Christian church to be subjected to the same COVID-19 restrictions that allow casinos, restaurants and other businesses in Nevada to operate at 50% of capacity with proper social distancing!  As further noted by the AP: “Calvary Chapel (Dayton Valley) argued that the hard attendance cap on religious gatherings was an unconstitutional violation of its parishioners’ First Amendment rights to express and exercise their beliefs”.

Four brave Justices dissented from this ridiculous decision, siding with the Calvary Chapel. They included Gorsuch, Alito, Thomas and Kavanaugh.  Justice Alito was absolutely right when he wrote, “The Constitution guarantees the free exercise of religion. It says nothing about the freedom to play craps, or blackjack, [or] feed tokens into a slot machine.”  Likewise, Justice Gorsuch was dead on correct when he wrote, “The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges.  But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

One creative way to “live with” this unfair court ruling was implemented by a Carson City, Nevada church.  Pastor Carver of the Calvary Chapel of the Desert installed slot machines.  Now he says the state is leaving him alone, and the slot revenue even helps with the church’s finances.  It may sound a little bizarre, but his church no longer needs to turn parishioners away.

Financially backed political attacks on American freedoms – backed by Soros, Styer, Gates, etc. – also appear to be chipping away (little by little) toward their assumed objective of One World Order. Recent riots and destruction are one extremely noticeable impact of this well-funded and planned attack against America’s constitutional success story.  Look back at just this calendar year and think about how much pushing against American freedoms has gone on.  It appears that the radical left may be testing just how far most proud America citizens will let this attempted take-over of the USA go before “we the people” significantly push back.

Many things around us appear to have been turned upside down, with logic and realistic thinking being washed away by anti-American interests wanting to change the way we live, as well as what we should tolerate.  We see Democrat Party Mayors actually backing leftist extreme anarchist behavior, participating in “so called peaceful” rioting as Federal property, private businesses as well as residences are being destroyed. Private property being burned and otherwise damaged is ignored by many mayors, at least until “their property” is threatened.  Take a good look around. The Country we love has changed significantly, and not for the better!  The fake news seems to be cheering against America’s most important freedoms and protections, while ignoring so many praise-worthy American accomplishments! Are many Americans really that gullible?

When Americans vote in November to elect the President, Senate and House of Representatives, the future of religious freedom is going to be a major issue on the ballot. In fact, all of what we have previously considered to be God given rights are now being challenged by the radical left! Our 2021-2024 President is likely to have at least one, and possibly two, seats to fill on the Supreme Court. Will they be filled by radical anti-American liberals or America loving conservatives?  The freedom of Christians, Jews, Muslims and all Americans are in jeopardy this year!  Will American’s vote to maintain their Constitutional rights to freely practice their faith?  Will our right to live free, with liberty and justice for all, continue into 2021 and beyond?  Unfortunately, all of this increasingly appears to hang in the balance.

Now is the time for caring American’s to unite to save the truly Great America that our forefathers made possible for today’s generations. May God continue to bless America!
