House Democrats have proposed another stimulus bill, totaling $3 trillion, in response to economic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It would follow the $2 trillion stimulus bill passed in March, though the measure is not expected to make it through the Republican-led Senate.
The House proposal would include $1 trillion for state and local governments, another round of $1,200 stimulus checks for residents, $200 billion in hazard pay for essential workers, $175 billion in rent and utility assistance and an extension of unemployment insurance, among other measures.
